Lord, today we ask for you hold in your hands and draw closer to you our brothers and sisters at Virginia Tech. Hold fast to the families and friends of the students and faculty taken from this world and those injured in this shooting. We pray for healing, for kindness, and strength for all. Also, we pray for the family of the shooter, that they will find comfort, peace, and above all love in their time of despair. Finally dear Lord, we pray for the shooter, that at his last moment, he would have found some solace and seeked out to you for forgiveness and that his soul and all the souls of the departed, through your love and Divine Mercy, are at this hour either in or journeying towards your heavenly kingdom.
